It is Dem oversimplification to assume one can take Nader's votes and dump them into the Gore column if Nader weren't on the ballot.

SOME of Nader's votes were by Republicans.

Take Nader off the ballot and one cannot assume they then vote Gore.

Take Nader off the ballot and some will just not vote or will do a write-in.
