Log off Facebook from November 10-13. Make them fix their platform.

From allowing white supremacists to plan a violent insurrection to ignoring disinformation for profit, Facebook is doing their worst. So we’re doing the thing that will get Facebook’s attention: logging out.

New reports from thousands of leaked documents revealed:

CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s claims directly contradict internal research at Facebook, including his congressional testimony. For example, Zuckerberg has claimed that Facebook removes about 94% of hate speech, but in reality they were removing around 5% of hate speech.

Facebook rolled back dozens of measures aimed at safeguarding U.S. users in the lead up to the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol, allowing for insurrectionists to organize on the platform.

Despite extensive research showing that hate speech and misinformation are dramatically worse on the platform in non-English-speaking countries, Facebook devoted only 16 percent of it’s resources targeted towards combating misinformation outside of the US.

Facebook consistently incentivizes engagement over safety, driving users to dangerous conspiracy theories like QAnon in order to keep them engaged.
