The Pentagon budget is greater than the Departments of State, USAID, Justice, Education, Transportation, Health and Human Services, and the Environmental Protection Agency combined. 53 cents of every federal discretionary dollar goes to the Pentagon, while only 15 cents goes to anti-poverty programs. This staggering gap hurts our communities by affirming violence over care.
