The Buga Sphere

 

I have some exciting news for you in this newsletter! The Buga Sphere and Our Expanding Global Role in Disclosure On June 20, I attended an historic press conference in Mexico City that focused on the Buga Sphere, a metallic object of unknown origin recovered in Colombia earlier this year. The event, hosted by world-respected investigative journalist Jaime Maussan, included scientists from the University of Mexico who are studying the Sphere; U.S. Representative Eric Burlison (R-MO) (a member of the U.S. House of Reps. Task Force on Declassification of Federal Secrets that is investigating the UFO Phenomenon); and Dr. Steven Greer, representing the Disclosure Project (which has agreed to participate in the professional investigation of the Sphere.) I attended as representative of the New Paradigm Institute. The Buga Sphere was observed performing anomalous aerial maneuvers over the town of Buga, Colombia, on March 2, 2025. The object eventually fell to earth after coming into contact  with a high-voltage power line over the town. It was recovered by a local resident, Don José Rompo, who witnessed the event in real time. He then reached out to Jaimie Maussan and provided the Sphere to Sr. Maussan for professional investigation. Since then, this artifact has captured the attention of the global UFO research community. Our New Paradigm Institute has been asked by those who are professionally investigating the Buga Sphere to provide legal oversight and counsel to the investigative team. Our role will be to: Participate, with Sr. Maussan’s Mexico legal foundation counsel, to create a public interest organization that will be empowered and staffed to: Ensure a documented and transparent chain of custody of the Sphere; Protect & preserve the physical integrity of the Sphere during all testing; Safeguard the investigation from speculation or overstatement of findings; Prevent any unlawful seizure or confiscation by domestic or foreign authorities. This is a critical moment. While our New Paradigm Institute is not yet ready to assert the authenticity of the Buga Sphere in any specific regard, this object is one of the first potential artifacts of non-human origin to be examined with a high standard of public transparency and legal accountability. We’re committed to making sure this investigation proceeds with integrity, professionalism, and respect for the truth. Our conversations in Mexico focused on aligning strategies around the UAP Disclosure Act and ensuring that the legislation is included in the National Defense Authorization Act for 2025. The window for action is now. As the final legislative negotiations approach, I urge you to take a moment to participate in our active call to action. Your voice is essential in the fight to bring about real and lasting UFO/UAP transparency. Senator Mike Rounds Signals Return of Full UAP Disclosure Act

A major development occurred this week in Ross Coulthart’s Reality Check interview with Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD), one of the leading champions of UAP transparency in the U.S. Senate. In the interview, Senator Rounds confirmed his intention — and that of Democratic Party Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer — to reintroduce the original, unabridged 64-page version of the UAP Disclosure Act as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2026. This news is highly significant. The original version of the UAP Disclosure Act included robust enforcement mechanisms, such as civilian oversight, mandatory agency reporting, and subpoena power. These provisions were, however, stripped out during closed-door negotiations in 2023 between the House and the Senate. There are additional reasons to be hopeful about the chances of UAP disclosure in the near term, including the presence of Secretary of State Marco Rubio in the current administration, given his record of advocating strongly for UAP transparency.  However, we must remain realistic and persistent. Even with Senator Rounds’ commitment, there is no guarantee the language will be included in the Senate’s version of the NDAA without robust citizen pressure. And even if it is, there is no assurance it will survive the legislative process in the House. So we must all remain vigilant. This is the moment to act. We are in the final three weeks of legislative deliberations. The clock is ticking. The outcome depends on whether members of Congress experience a groundswell of citizen pressure from their constituents.
