Trump's MAGA Murder Bill

 Trump’s so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”, passed by Congressional Republicans this summer, handed trillions of dollars in tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans and large corporations at the expense of working families.

It has done tremendous damage already, and cuts to Medicaid that will kick millions of people off their health coverage haven’t even gone into effect!

We need to hold lawmakers who voted for this package — this Big, Ugly Law — accountable.

And we need to spread the truth about the damage this law is doing right now and what it will continue to do in the future.

The Big, Ugly Law is already a disaster for American households:

• It slashed Medicaid by around $1 trillion — the largest cut to the program in history

• It will raise premiums for millions of Americans who get health insurance through the Affordable Care Act

• It cut food stamps, affecting more than 40 million people

• It repealed clean energy tax credits, a move which is projected to raise household utility bills by as much as $400 per year within the next decade

• Meanwhile, it extended and expanded Trump’s 2018 tax giveaways for the wealthiest Americans — such as keeping a lowered top individual tax rate, allowing deductions for wealthy hedge fund managers, and giving tax breaks to multinational corporations like Meta and Amazon

But as bad as this law is, it’s already no longer a top news item.

We need to ensure that Congressional Republicans aren’t able to escape responsibility.

This is especially important since they intentionally delayed the start of some of the law’s most damaging provisions years into the future.
