The need for Minnesota’s, Wisconsin’s, and Illinois’ government officials—including their police officers and district attorneys, to be doing more to arrest out-of-control ICE agents
Calling on our Democratic Senators, who have leverage due to the 60 votes needed in the Senate to stop a government shut down, to demand ICE be abolished.

In this first clip, we discussed the strike happening tomorrow in Minneapolis. This is the first “stress test” occurring in the country that can measure our ability to pull off an extended “general strike” that could ultimately bring our economy to its knees—and by extension—separate greedy oligarchs from Trump’s regime because the cost of them aligning with fascism will be worse than supporting democracy.
Next up, like many of you’ve I’ve been watching the videos of protesters in Minnesota not only being arrested by ICE, but by Minneapolis cops. They should be arresting ICE agents for violating our 4th Amendment right to reasonable search and seizure, not arresting non-violent protesters. Similarly, Minnesota’s district attorneys should be prosecuting ICE agents who break the law. For example, Hennepin County District Attorney Mary Moriarty said “we should wait for more evidence,” as an excuse not to charge Jonathan Ross for the murder of Renee Good, yet the FBI is withholding a lot of that evidence. She MUST DO HER JOB and press charges against Ross immediately.

All of the power to resist Trump’s fascist regime now lies in states and the cities within those states. Everyone that has law enforcement power must find the courage to use their power to stop ICE now. If they don’t have that courage, they need to step down.
Finally, at the end of January, we have another ability to shut down the federal government as leverage to stop ICE from terrorizing our cities.
Unfortunately, the Big Beautiful Bill protected ICE funding from government shutdowns, but that doesn’t mean we can’t go nuclear and shut down other branches of government, like the Department of Transportation and the entire Department of Homeland Security, to force a new bill to defund ICE. If we stop paying air traffic controllers (DOT) and TSA officers (DHS), air traffic comes to a stop, which means our economy grinds to a halt. We have this leverage and we must use it NOW.
