While Knapp has referenced these documents in past reporting and provided them to Congress during his September 9, 2025, congressional testimony, investigators can now view the documents directly. Among the most striking cases in the Russian UFO/UAP Files is an incident where UFOs/UAP activated Russian nuclear missiles. This incident is often quoted as an analogue to the Malmstrom Air Force Base incident. In the Russian case, investigators concluded that an unidentified craft did not deactivate nuclear launch systems but instead briefly activated them. Their assessment was that the action was intentional and meant as a warning. This incident aligns with a long-standing pattern documented across decades and different military bases.
