GAMBLING -- OO

Last Friday, The Atlantic published an account of reportedly alarming and extensive alcohol consumption by Kash Patel, the ridiculously unqualified MAGA conspiracist Donald Trump installed to run the FBI.

The article, which cites multiple sources, describes Patel as drinking “to the point of obvious intoxication” and says that “members of his security detail had difficulty waking Patel because he was seemingly intoxicated.”

We won’t take time here to rehash the numerous reasons Kash Patel should not have *any* job in the federal government, much less the job of running the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

But, surely, getting blackout drunk at work should be disqualifying for any FBI director.

Rather famously, Donald Trump does not drink and lost a brother who struggled with alcoholism.
