Democrats in Congress Obey Trump
Trump has a trillion dollars a year for wars — a record amount, more than most other countries combined, more than the non-war federal discretionary budget, enough to attack Venezuela and Iran on his whim, enough to send drone-murder missiles into houses and boats around the world, enough to keep the weapons falling on Gaza and Ukraine, enough to fill new countries with U.S. bases, enough to build new nukes, enough to create a “golden dome” fantasy death machine, enough to do war rehearsals worldwide, so much that directing a militarized ICE force against U.S. cities is a question of pocket change.
If Trump were to instruct Democrats in Congress not to insist on reducing the Pentagon budget, a bunch of them would immediately insist on reducing the Pentagon budget and a few of them might actually attempt it. So, Trump says something else. He says: Up the budget to $1.5 trillion. And immediately a bunch of Democrats declare that they are opposed to that increase. Many of them say they oppose ANY increase. And virtually none of them demand a decrease. In failing to demand and work for a decrease, they may be obeying their own bribers, advisers, and other corrupting influences, but they are also obeying Trump and defying the U.S. public.
Democrats even claim they want to end the war on Iran, and Trump’s speaker-puppet refuses to allow a vote. Do they commit to cutting off the money? Of course not. Do they commit to reducing the money? Of course not. At best they express their displeasure with the proposal to increase the murder money to $1.5 trillion per year.
Trump’s toddler-level deal making skills are famous. He demands more and more and more and hopes to get as much as possible. That’s it. That’s his entire master deal maker repertoire. And yet Democrats fall for it. Or, what’s worse, they assume that you will.
Tell your so-called representatives to organize against any military spending bill that isn’t a major DECREASE, or to seek other employment.
