    Dear Mark,

The Trump administration says it wants to “Make America Healthy Again.”

But behind the slogans and staged press conferences is a full-frontal assault on the very protections that keep our food, water, wildlife, and communities alive.

At Center for Food Safety, we see it every day. And we are fighting back at every turn.

While corporate lobbyists write policy inside federal agencies, we are in court exposing the damage. While chemical companies demand weaker oversight, we are forcing the government to answer to the law. While endangered species, farmworkers, pollinators, and rural communities are sacrificed in the name of profit, we are standing in the breach.

This is not theoretical. This is happening right now.

While the Trump administration is trying to remove limits on some PFAS chemicals in our drinking water, we fight to stop toxic PFAS pesticides, the “forever chemicals” that contaminate soil, water, and the food system for generations,

We are fighting glyphosate and the corporate deception that allowed one of the most widely used pesticides on earth to be sprayed across millions of acres while communities absorb the consequences. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has signaled their support for glyphosate through an Executive Order erroneously framing the pesticide as critical to national defense and food security.

We are fighting atrazine, a chemical linked to devastating harms to wildlife and water systems already banned in 60 other countries, while the Trump U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service just concluded that this potent pesticide doesn’t pose an extinction risk to threatened or endangered species.

We are fighting to protect endangered species from malathion and other toxic pesticides after regulators once again failed to follow the Endangered Species Act while the Act itself is under attack.

And we are fighting to preserve the very laws that make this work possible, because the attacks are no longer limited to individual chemicals. The protections themselves are under siege.

The truth is simple: industrial agriculture and the chemical industry have captured too much power inside our regulatory system. They want government agencies that rubber stamp approvals. They want weakened enforcement. They want science buried under politics and profit.

And this administration is giving them exactly what they asked for.

But they have one problem: Center for Food Safety.

CFS has spent decades building one of the most effective public interest legal programs in the country. We win over 75% of our cases because we know how to fight, and because we refuse to back down.

Every lawsuit we file sends a message. These agencies do not belong to chemical corporations; they belong to the public. Every injunction, every overturned approval, every required mitigation and risk assessment creates real and lasting protections for people and the planet.

This work matters because extinction is permanent. Cancer clusters are permanent. Contaminated groundwater is permanent.

Once these systems collapse, there is no undo button. That is why we need all hands everywhere right now.

The chemical industry is betting that people will become exhausted. Overwhelmed. Numb. That we will accept poisoned water, collapsing biodiversity, and corporate-controlled industrial agriculture as inevitable.

    We refuse.

If you believe life on earth is worth defending, if you believe our food system should serve people instead of corporations, we need you with us right now.
