You already know Trump’s grip on the courts is causing real, lasting harm. What’s becoming clearer by the day is just how quickly and systematically those rulings are reshaping people’s rights, concentrating power in the hands of the few, and making it harder for ordinary people to get justice.
In May and June alone, judges nominated by Trump during his first and current terms helped produce over 28 decisions that eroded our fundamental rights and freedoms.[1]
❌ They restricted access to abortion medication.
❌ They weakened Black voting power.
❌ They allowed Trump to target immigrants, accelerate deportations, and strip legal protections from hundreds of thousands of people.
They also ruled against workers denied overtime pay, consumers challenging corporate misconduct, survivors of sexual harassment, transgender students, victims of police abuse, and communities trying to prevent gun violence and environmental harm.
This is what Trump’s capture of the federal courts looks like.
Amid the ongoing chaos the Trump administration has inflicted on the nation, these cases often receive little national attention. That makes our work even more important.

We share these updates with coalition partners fighting alongside us and with Senate offices weighing Trump’s latest lifetime judicial nominees. Our research gives advocates and decisionmakers concrete evidence of what happens when judges committed to Trump’s agenda are handed power over our lives.
Trump and Senate Republicans are still working to install more judges who could serve for decades. Every new confirmation gives this movement another opportunity to restrict our freedoms, strengthen corporate power, and place Trump’s agenda beyond the reach of voters.
We cannot allow these damaging rulings to disappear into a legal docket while Trump’s allies falsely insist his nominees are reasonable, impartial, or harmless.
