Some problems with capitalism
Planet-wrecking for profit
Aaren Ruigenburg, writing in the Boston Review, on “climate hushing”: “Big oil understood decades ago that the unchecked burning of fossil fuels would, in the words of their own senior employees’ internal communications, be ‘globally catastrophic,’ do ‘great irreversible harm to our planet,’..have ‘serious consequences for man’s comfort and survival,’ and cause such destabilization that ‘civilization could prove a fragile thing.’”

Profiting off helping Trump get elected
CBS CEO Leslie Moonves openly bragged that the network is getting rich off Donald Trump’s run for the White House. “It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS. … [T]he money’s rolling in … [T]his is going to be a very good year for us.” Moonves went on to say, “It’s a terrible thing to say, but bring it on, Donald. Go ahead. Keep going.”

The world's first trillionaire
Having a trillion dollars is to be a millionaire one million times over. This in the context of homelessness and the homeless being driven from encampments.
Socialism for corporations
In fact, much of the funding Congress adds to the Pentagon budget will be wasted on price gouging, cost overruns, and outright fraud. The most notorious recent case is that of the TransDigm Group, which overcharged the government up to 3,850% for a spare part for one weapons system and 10 to 100 times too much for others.
