Dear Green Party supporter,
Pete Karas is running for Secretary of State of Wisconsin.
Pete is a longtime Green, a former elected alderman in Racine, and is dedicated to busting up the duopoly.
As you know, Secretaries of State hold a special place in our Democracy regarding voting systems and voting rights.
For years, Green Party candidates have faced unfair hurdles just to get on the ballot. A victory for Pete could help us eliminate some of those obstacles and at the same time stand up to Trump's relentless attacks on our election system.
In any case, if Pete gets just 1% of the vote, the Green Party of Wisconsin will retain its ballot line for the 2028 GPUS Presidential ticket. If not, we are looking at a costly and messy petition drive (Wisconsin Dems sued to keep Stein/Ware off in 2024).
