 Part 1: "All Consciousness Is the Same"

"What I am is also what you are: individualized consciousness." 2

"The mechanics of consciousness remain the same. They do not change for animals or men." 4

"The characteristics of consciousness are the same whether you are in a body or outside of one." 6

"There is no such thing as a cat consciousness, basically speaking, or a bird consciousness. In those terms, there are instead simply consciousnesses that choose to take certain focuses." 8

"Simply enough put, there are as many kinds of consciousnesses as there are particles, and these are combined in infinite fashions." 10

Part 2: Three Shared Characteristics of All Consciousness

I. Free Will

"You have been given free will. 12

"Each of your personalities are free to develop, to accept, from the miraculous bank of reality those experiences and emotions that you want and to reject those that you do not want." 14

"Within certain limits there is free will. Yet these limits themselves were set, or if you prefer, chosen, by the entity itself for any given present personality; and at the entity level free choice or free will is much more extensive..." 16

II. Dreams

"What you do not know is that all consciousnesses dream. We have said that to some degree even atoms and molecules have consciousness, and this minute consciousness nevertheless forms its own dreams, even as on the other hand it forms its own physical image." 3

"Dreaming touches upon both microscopic and macroscopic events, or realities, and is not simply a human characteristic... In that regard even electrons, for example, dream." 19

III. Value Fulfillment

"Remember that each segment of life is motivated by value fulfillment, and is therefore always attempting to use and develop all of its abilities and potentials..." 21

"Value fulfillment itself is most difficult to describe, for it combines the nature of a loving presence—a presence with the innate knowledge of its own divine complexity—with a creative ability of infinite proportions that seeks to bring to fulfillment even the slightest, most distant portion of its own inverted complexity. Translated into simpler terms, each portion of energy is endowed with an inbuilt reach of creativity that seeks to fulfill its own potentials in all possible variations—and in such a way that such a development also furthers the creative potentials of each other portion of reality..." 23

"Each individual of each species takes that initial zest and joy of life as its own yardstick. Each individual of whatever species, and each consciousness, whatever its degree, automatically seeks to enhance the quality of life itself—not only for itself but for all of reality as well." 25
