“They’re not even people”
This is the genocidal language of one of the highest-ranking members of the Israeli government, Itamar Ben-Gvir.
He adds: “I think targeted assassinations should be carried out in Gaza, taking down 30 to 40 every night…I see all of Gaza as ours."
It’s unbelievable that any American — regardless of party, ideology, background, or religion — would find it a good idea to send this unhinged and criminal Israeli government any more military aid.
Thankfully, for the first time in American history, a majority of Americans agree that it’s time to cut Israel off, including a supermajority of Democrats. And in the past months, we’ve seen both a record-high number of Democrats in the Senate and the House vote against additional aid to Israel.
That’s a sign that our movement for Palestinian freedom and self-determination has made important progress in the face of the genocide, war crimes, and ethnic cleansing that has been visited upon Palestinians over the last three years.
Mark, I am a proud sponsor of the Block the Bombs Act, which would cut off aid to Israel in accordance with both domestic and international law.
As we move forward into an extremely consequential midterm election, I’m asking for your help in bringing this issue front and center and putting grassroots pressure on Congress to do the right thing.
