Anti-wildlife members of Congress have launched another investigation targeting the Center for Biological Diversity for our work protecting wildlife, public lands, and our nation’s environmental laws.
They’re attacking us for taking the government to court when it breaks the law — demanding written answers and in-person testimony from the Center.
We won’t be intimidated. And we won’t back down.
They’re calling us radical because we’re fighting the Trump administration on some of its most destructive assaults on our environment. And because we’re winning.
This meritless investigation is in many ways a badge of honor. We spend every waking hour fighting to protect our land, water, wildlife, and public health. Our effectiveness is exactly why they’re coming after us.
The committee is trying to punish nonprofit organizations for exercising their constitutional rights and advocating to protect our environment. They’re trying to push us aside so powerful interests can pollute more, industrialize our public lands, and drive more imperiled animals and plants to the brink of extinction.
We will keep using every legal avenue to stop them from destroying nature.
We’re putting pressure on the administration to halt the destruction of Big Bend National Park. We’re fighting their attempts to gut the Endangered Species Act and strip away protections vulnerable wildlife desperately need.
Our lawsuit recently helped force the closure of “Alligator Alcatraz” in the heart of the Florida Everglades. And just this week we blocked the first data center on public lands.
Now members of Congress are illegally attacking the Center for holding the federal government accountable.
We make no apologies for sounding the alarm when wildlife and wild places are in danger. The Center was founded to be their voice and to take action when no one else will.
This isn’t just another attack on the Center. It’s an attack on the American people's ability to stand together, speak out, and hold powerful interests accountable.
