Trump recently announced new sweeping tariffs on Canada, the latest escalation in his foolish and destructive trade chaos meant to bully our allies on behalf of his billionaire buddies.
While so many people struggle as a result of Trump’s policies, Congress must step up and fight back. We need a fairer economy that works for all of us — not more tariff uncertainty, corporate giveaways, or job losses to AI.
That’s why we’re supporting Fair Trade for Working Families (H.Res. 1286), a resolution in Congress that would demand trade deals that benefit everyone, not just corporations or Trump’s ego.
More than 50 members of Congress have already signed on, but we need to continue building momentum and convincing more representatives to stand with working people.
Fair Trade for Working Families lays out key priorities that will create enforceable labor standards, promote a healthy environment, guard against job losses from AI-driven offshoring, support small farmers, and protect access to medicine.
This resolution will help set the agenda for trade policy moving forward and open the door for future legislation.
So we need as many representatives as possible to sign on and commit to fair trade policies.
