  As we get closer to the November elections, the U.S. Postal Service is rushing to implement new policies and procedures that would allow it to refuse to deliver some mailed ballots. Under the new procedures, USPS would: Require states to provide a list of all voters to whom it is planning to send mail ballots for the general election Require states to use special envelopes and bar-codes pre-approved by USPS Allow USPS to refuse to deliver ballots to anyone not on the state list and to refuse to deliver all ballots in states that do not use USPS-approved envelopes The Postal Service should not be an election gatekeeper. Determining how to design ballots and administer mail-in voting is the job of state election officials, who already have rigorous systems in place. This scheme is yet another anti-voter effort by those who want to keep people from casting their votes. So we’re calling on the USPS Board of Governors to exercise its authority over postal operations and oppose this attack on vote-by-mail. Thanks for taking action, George Public Citizen
