B X Lee -- From Outrage to Action: Preventing a Predictable Catastrophe
From Outrage to Action: Preventing a Predictable Catastrophe
Next Project for Human Survival Meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. EDT
Every week, almost every day, brings a shocking new escalation of violence that reveals the president’s psyche. We should stop responding reactively as if it were unforeseeable and start acting proactively, as these are predictable (and preventable) events.
Lawrence O’Donnell of “The Last Word,” who must have featured my book, The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, at least a dozen times, recently stated:
if the president of the United States is insane, that is the biggest news of the day.
Canadian politicians continue to refer to our book:
assessments of Trump’s personality in the book [present him] as a clear and present danger.
Yet, neither has translated to the actual airing or consulting of experts in the area.
In general, the more profound the understanding, the more effective the solutions. Long-time Salon reporter Chauncey DeVega analyzed Donald Trump’s “75-minute, 11,000-word interview with Time magazine” and what it means, quoting me and The More Dangerous Case of Donald Trump coauthor Dr. Vince Greenwood extensively:
I asked Dr. Bandy Lee, a forensic and social psychiatrist, one of the world’s leading experts on violence [to analyze the interview]. Lee told me that he is a “spellbinder”:
Mental health experts have known this from the start of his first presidency, but I believe the Time magazine interview has demonstrated for the lay public that this is not a mentally well man. What people may have been unaware of is that some of the most psychologically dangerous individuals are often also the most charming and manipulative. In political psychology, they are often called, “spellbinders.”
Adolf Hitler himself was called a “seismograph of crowds.” They compensate for their defects in human qualities, such as compassion and a conscience, by mimicking the opposite, and the nation was hypnotized into voting in—twice—a dangerously psychopathic man whose only talent was hiding his extreme mental impairments well.
Lee warns that Trump’s dangerousness is increasing, not decreasing:
… violent individuals are the most dangerous, not when they feel strong, but when they feel the weakest.
Now that he is markedly declining cognitively and emotionally—unable to get the “fuel” he needs from the adulation of crowds—his “smoke and mirrors” tactics are waning, too…. We must remember that this is a man with a history of violence who is now continually fantasizing about nuclear annihilation of another country—which will mean the annihilation of humankind.
Dr. Vincent Greenwood’s analysis echoes Dr. Lee’s findings. Greenwood … explains the methodology behind his assessment:
This assessment process for clinical psychopathy is rigorous and possesses solid reliability and validity metrics.
Most critically, it does not require a personal interview since it is based on the appraisal of traits and well-established behavior patterns,… not information gleaned from a face-to-face exam of symptoms or mental status….
His remorselessness is reflected most strongly in his response to questions about Iran and exemplified in his recurring threats of “annihilation” of innocent people…. he comes across as celebrating the harm he can unleash….
Greenwood concludes:
… The Time interview shows that Donald Trump, in one narrow sense, is the most honest president in American history, [in the form of] raw transparency: an increasingly uncensored and unrestrained man and mind.
In less than a month, the midterm election will be here. Based on the historical trends and the high levels of disapproval for Trump and the Republicans, the Democrats are ... relieved and jubilant. But it could be one of the most perilous times in American history. Trump will be enraged. His Time interview shows that he is capable of doing almost anything to keep total power.
When the authoritarian speaks, believe him.
That is right. As I have repeated and have made the theme of my weekly appearances on Meidas Touch, a tyrant desperate to avoid defeat is increasingly likely to reach for nuclear weapons:
The last time there was an election he thought he might lose, he caused the deaths eventually of 1.2 million Americans, through his need to deny the existence of a pandemic. This time, he may cause the annihilation of humankind, because he has run out of ways to deny all reality.
There is also no one such as Defense Secretary James Schlesinger, who, recognizing Richard Nixon’s disturbed behavior, directed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General George Brown that any military orders from Nixon—especially nuclear orders—first be cleared through himself or Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. The current Armageddon-obsessed, “death and destruction”-intoxicated Defense (or War) Secretary Pete Hegseth, who fired one-fifth of generals and admirals for their competence, would instead likely carry out a nuclear command enthusiastically.
Recently, Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby openly admitted that the Defense Department was actively working to increase the “[nuclear] options available” to Donald Trump, which is precisely the trend we feared. The announcement of livestreamed public executions by firing squad, or the willingness to sell out our nation to assist Russian leader Vladimir Putin, is also the exact extension of what we warned would happen. The weaponization of state power into state terror, or the aiding and abetting of our enemies, will not stop—until external restraints are applied. We need to emphasize that the time for restraints has long passed.
This brings us to my claim that the only issue that should matter is dangerousness—since dangerousness is the criterion for hospitalization, and hospitalization a requirement for full assessment. Hence, diagnoses are not only a distraction but a hindrance, and an irresponsible professional has perhaps made close to a million dollars, throwing around diagnoses for entertainment, while actually hampering our efforts.
Coauthor for the first and second editions of The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, Dr. David Reiss, has given more responsible, recent interviews:
I think Trump probably is getting more desperate and more disinhibited. And whether that includes loss of cognitive functioning for reasons could well be, but I can’t say definitely yes or no without looking at legitimate neuropsych. testing, not just a screening that they give him. A full battery of neuropsych. testing, MRI. You couldn’t say for sure…. only his neurons know for sure.
Dr. Reiss put it this way in an earlier exchange:
at this point diagnosis isn’t that important—is it this, is it that, is it dementia, is it meds. he’s taking, is it another illness. It really isn’t relevant. What’s relevant is one simple question: if you were sitting at a family dinner and someone acted and talked like him, how long would it take you to get them to an emergency room?
Announcement:
Now is a critical period when much burden lies on the people to protect themselves. In addition to her weekly appearances on Meidas Touch, on “The Weekend Show,” Dr. Bandy X. Lee is now holding her “Project for Human Survival” meetings every Wednesday to bring you interactive learning and strategy sessions, having combined with her “Ongoing Presidential Psychiatric Emergency” meetings. The next meeting will be October 14, 2026, at 10 a.m. EDT (please note the changing time). Denis O’Keefe, coauthor of The More Dangerous Case of Donald Trump, will present. Paid subscribers will receive a link an hour before (paid subscriptions are for participant protection; please contact Dr. Lee if you cannot afford a subscription but would like to attend).

Dr. Lee said in her interview last night,
“The Manchurian candidate that did not need to be programmed”
everyone knows he is completely insane and needs to be removed but the congress refuses to act, shame, he runs amuck and wants to use nuclear weapons. The democrats continue to play nice and by the rules. Trumpler is a clear and present threat to humanity, easier to destroy then an asteroid heading towards earth. More violence is planned for the midterms because he isn't leaving office and project 2025 will be officially launched...4th reich! It is now or never if you want your country back. God Bless and brace for impact.
