Cruel, heartless people

Mark — most people would say that 58 deaths under the watch of the US government are 58 too many.
But apparently, the Trump administration thinks there’s nothing “controversial” about ICE’s violent behavior, terror tactics, and disregard for human rights and human life.
Give us a break.
The fact of the matter is that the Trump administration is holding tens of thousands of people in ICE detention centers across the country in intentionally cruel, inhumane, and deadly conditions.
Inadequate food and water, medical neglect and lack of access to health care, cramped and over-crowded cells and holding areas, unsanitary conditions, hard concrete for sleeping, mold and insect infestations, and limited access to legal counsel have become the status quo.
Many of the people stuck in these detention centers are legal residents, visa-holders, asylum-seekers, refugees, or even US citizens — folks who were following the law and still found themselves being held in detention by this administration for the sake of cruelty and intimidation alone.
And to make matters worse, every new detention center is a money-making opportunity for for-profit prison companies. The whole thing is morally repugnant.
Make no mistake, we are being ruled by cruel, heartless people who have completely trashed our American values of compassion, justice, and fairness. We have an obligation to defeat the MAGA far-right for the sake of the very soul and future of this country.
