PFAW -- America rejected them. Loudly.
America rejected them. Loudly.

Mark,
The American people have spoken. Loudly. Overwhelmingly. Joyfully!
I have never been prouder of this country than I am right now.
Not because the fight was easy. Because it wasn’t. Because after everything they threw at us, the American people stood up, showed up and refused to let hate have the final word.
Democrats took back the House. Democrats took back the Senate. And together, we elected a wonderfully diverse group of senators, representatives, governors and state legislators who share a vision of an America that works for all of us. So many young leaders. So many people breaking barriers for the first time.
MAGA’s white Christian nationalist vision for America was ugly, and voters saw it for exactly what it was. A country where your faith, your skin color or your last name decides whether you belong. A country where diversity is treated like a threat and our neighbors are treated like enemies.
Last night, America answered. The first Black woman ever elected governor. The first Native American woman governor and senator. The first Muslim senator. The first openly gay man in the Senate. A Latina governor in Texas. This is the multicultural democracy they irrationally fear. And it just won.
None of this happened by accident. It happened because people organized.
The kind of patient, community rooted organizing the late, great Dolores Huerta devoted her life to. The kind of strategic movement building led by the brilliant Stacey Abrams and the leaders she has mentored throughout the south. The kind of solidarity Minnesota activists showed when they stood up to defend their neighbors from brutality.
That organizing does not end on election night. It can’t.
We didn’t elect these leaders so they could get comfortable. We elected them to deliver. We are demanding a government that makes our lives better, not worse. A government that serves everyday people, not just the wealthy and powerful. A government that holds accountable those who abused their power.
Accountability and progress go hand in hand. That means:
- Affirming the rule of law by holding lawbreakers accountable
- Relieving the harm this administration has imposed on American families, from rising costs to broken promises
- Passing strong anticorruption measures and ending the dark money that lets billionaires drown out voters
- Protecting the freedom to vote and ending partisan gerrymandering for good
- Structural reforms for the Supreme Court that has lost the public’s trust
That’s what a pro-democracy agenda demands. And we will not accept anything less.
There is so much work ahead. But today, celebrate. Call the friend who knocked doors with you. Hug the volunteer who drove voters to the polls. You earned this.
In the coming days, you’ll hear from us about exactly how we plan to push this agenda forward and hold our new leaders to their promises every step of the way. Keep an eye on your inbox. We’re going to need you.
Together, we have the power to build the future we dream of. And we cannot stop now.
With pride and resolve,
Svante Myrick
